Let's start with the role

As the Affiliate Manager for Portugal, you will manage and optimize Betano's affiliate portfolio, owning relationships with our portfolio of affiliate partners  and driving performance through data-led decision making. You will work closely with the Country Manager, Marketing, BI, and Compliance teams to ensure the affiliate channel remains commercially strong, efficient, and aligned with local regulatory requirements.

As an Affiliate Manager, you will:

• Own and optimize Betano's existing affiliate portfolio in Portugal, ensuring it continues to perform at a market-leading level.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with an established base of affiliate partners, acting as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
• Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize partner performance to maximize ROI, revenue, and traffic quality.
• Review and renegotiate commercial terms, commission structures, and incentive schemes to ensure they remain competitive and commercially sustainable.
• Track and report on affiliate KPIs (CPA, NGR, ROI, LTV, conversions, clicks) and deliver clear weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports.
• Use data to identify underperforming partners, growth opportunities, and areas for portfolio optimization.
• Manage affiliate tracking platforms, CRM tools, and reporting dashboards, ensuring data accuracy at all times.
• Identify and onboard new affiliate partners selectively, where they deliver clear incremental value to the existing portfolio.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and regulatory developments within the Portuguese iGaming and affiliate ecosystem.
• Collaborate closely with the Country Manager, Marketing, BI, and Compliance teams to ensure the channel remains aligned with commercial objectives and local regulatory requirements.

What you’ll bring

• Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
• 4+ years of experience in Affiliate Marketing or Performance Marketing, ideally within iGaming or sports betting, with proven experience managing and optimizing an established portfolio—not just building one. 
• Native-level Portuguese and fluent English.
• Strong understanding of affiliate and performance marketing commercial models, including CPA, RevShare, and hybrid agreements.
• A genuinely data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyse performance data,  spotting trends, and translate insights into commercial decisions.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and commercial skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with the Portuguese regulatory landscape (SRIJ) is a strong plus.
• A professional, structured, and proactive approach, with the autonomy to manage a mature, high-value channel.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
