Since 28 June 2025, online racing and sports betting in New Zealand is prohibited unless operated by the domestic provider TAB NZ, including its Betcha brand. A separate online-casino regime is scheduled from 1 December 2026, with licences expected from early 2027; it does not change TAB NZ’s sports and racing position.
